Folsom Lake SRA/Folsom Powerhouse SHP General Plan
The California State Park and Recreation Commission approved the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area (SRA) and Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park (SHP) General Plan on October 8, 2009 in Sacramento.
California State Parks and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation completed the Final Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the General Plan/Resource Management Plan for Folsom Lake State RecreationArea (SRA) and the Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park (SHP). This document is in two volumes: Volume 1 includes a list of all commenters, master responses to common public comments and proposed changes to the plan in consideration of the public comment; Volume 2 includes all of the comment letters and individual responses to comments not addressed by the master responses.

The California State Park and Recreation Commission has the authority to approve general plans and certify the environmental impact report prepared for the general plan. A Commission briefing and hearing for the Folsom Lake SRA and Folsom Powerhouse SHP General Plan is being scheduled for early October. More information regarding the Commission hearing will be available shortly.
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will make a decision regarding the approval of the Resource Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement separately. The Mid-Pacific Regional Director is the federal decision-maker.
Below are links to the Preliminary General Plan/Resource Management Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (DEIR/DEIS), which was released to the public in February 2008.
