Malibu Creek State Park

California State Parks completed a General Plan for Malibu Creek State Park in March 2005. This General Plan defined a long-term vision for the park, identified desired improvements, and provided guidelines for protecting its unique natural and cultural resources. An environmental impact report (EIR) was also completed along with the plan.

Malibu Creek State Park General Planning Timeline
The second Malibu Creek State Park General Plan public workshop was held July 23, 2003.  Thanks to all who attended and shared their ideas about the draft plan alternatives.  California State Parks reviewed all comments about the plan alternatives and prepared a Preferred Alternative, found below: "Preliminary General Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report." A third public workshop to present the Preferred Alternative was not held.  In lieu of this, the Preliminary General Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report (with Preferred Plan) was available for pubic viewing and comment (see below).

A 45-day public comment period for this document began December 2, 2003, and ended January 16, 2004.
