Friends of Columbia State Historic Park

Columbia State Historic ParkThe Friends of Columbia State Historic Park (Friends of Columbia) funds Gold Rush-era interpretive programs for school groups and the public, Park docent programs, museum and exhibit construction, historical building restoration, and community education events in and around the living town of Columbia. Columbia SHP has more than 20 concessions which cover 1850s-1890s businesses, as well as more than 20 static displays. Columbia is an irreplaceable town preserved in time.

Friends also supports the State Park in meeting the California State Parks mission to provide visitors with top-quality educational experiences. We sponsor special events, including Columbia Diggins 1852, Casino night at the Diggins, and Christmas Lamplight Tours.

Friends is funded through grants, memberships, donations, merchandise sales, and fundraising events. For more information visit the Friends of Columbia SHP website.
