Become a CA State Lifeguard

All State Parks Lifeguards receive extensive training in lifeguard rescue techniques, CPR/first aid, and AED.  Folsom Lake lifeguards receive additional training in vessel operation, swift water rescue and advanced medical skills.  The following beaches are staffed with lifegaurds during the summer season: Granite Bay Main Beach, Beals Point, Black Miners Bar and Nimbus Flats.  Lifeguards regularly patrol Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma on patrol vessels and PWCs.
