TO ENROLL, All Junior Lifeguard Applicants MUST:

1. Sign up on or after April 1.  The program is first-come, first served and only the first 125 applications will be accepted, so please sign up early.

2. Unless the applicant has done the program before, the prospective participants must complete the tryout at the Monterey Sports Center at 6:30 p.m. (May 18 for session one and June 22 for session two). Applicants must be able to swim 100 yds. continuously using any stroke (preferably freestyle), swim 10 yds. under water and tread water for three minutes. Please make sure your child has these skills before signing them up. If your child does not pass the test, we will issue a full refund. However, refunds can take up to six months.

Please note that the program is first-come, first-served. We will not accept applications without payment or missing information (i.e. signatures etc.). Keep in mind that once we reach 125 applications, we will not accept any more applications. We appreciate your cooperation. Thank you!
