Meet in front of the Nature Store via the Park’s main entrance off Hwy 9
Discover the Park’s best kept secret – it’s other giant trees with Park Docent, Nancy Parker. Early summer is the best time to search for magnificent broadleaf trees in Cowell’s riparian (river zone) forest – Western sycamores, big leaf maples, white alders, black cottonwoods, box elders and California bay. The 1.5-hour/1.5 mile walk is along flat trails. The main entrance to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is located off of Highway 9 in Felton at 101 Big Trees Park Rd Felton, CA 95018.
