California State Parks Explorer Annual Pass Available for Purchase With State Tax Refund

SACRAMENTO, Calif.–There is also an opportunity for the public to support state park maintenance needs through a tax-deductible contribution. Any additional donation over the $195 cost of the pass is a tax-deductible contribution that will be allocated to the State Parks Protection Fund, where it will be used for state park maintenance needs.

Information on how to purchase a California Explorer Annual Pass on your state income tax return and the State Parks Protection Fund can be found on California State Park’s website at: http://www.parks.ca.gov/annualpass.

This is the third year of the California State Parks Annual Pass Program, which was created through the California State Park Stewardship Act of 2012.
