Welcome to the State of California
Holiday in the Park Candlelight Tours
Park: Old Town San Diego SHP

Experience the history of early San Diego with candlelight tours, lantern-lit museums, hundreds of luminarias, holiday entertainment, and festive music.

Horse and carriage rides will be available for a nominal fee. The concession retail stores and restaurants, represented by the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Merchants Association, will be open for extended shopping hours until 9pm.  The historic working Blacksmith shop, San Diego Union Newspaper Printing shop and newly refurbished Seeley Stable museum will also be open to the public for added holiday entertainment.  Historical traditions and the romance of early California will be recreated in this historic seasonal festival.

Bring your family and friends and share the festive activities with the colorful townsfolk that created early San Diego.  See the beautiful candle dance performed by Los Bailadores Dancers.  Beginning at 6pm, candlelit walking tours will be conducted every 30 minutes, where visitors can experience vignettes throughout the park, including historic La Casa de Machado y Silvas and lantern-lit La Casa de Estudillo.  Reservation are suggested.  Tour prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and ages 5 and under are free.  Proceeds benefit the interpretive and educational efforts of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, through the generosity and efforts of the Boosters of Old Town non-profit association, and the collaborative efforts of Plaza del Pasado.

Parking and entrance to the park are FREE, and is conveniently located adjacent to the Old Town Transit Center, with Coaster, Trolley, and MTS Bus service.
