San Diego Coast District provides spectacular locations for special events such as weddings, reunions, memorials, corporate, and athletic events. We provide multiple backdrops for your events including overlooks with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean to large white sandy beaches.

Tamarack & Frazee State Beach Closed for Special Events

Due to recent tidal activity, Tamarack & Frazee SB has experienced significant sand loss, resulting in limited usable beach space. As a result the beach will be closed to events until further notice.
at this time we do not have an estimated timeline on when the beach will be suitable for special events again.
During this closure, we highly recommend looking into other available locations within the San Diego Coast District for your special event.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Closure
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve will be closed and unavailable for Special events September 2026 through April 2027 due to a planned construction project.
This multi-phase construction project will provide much needed utility improvements, upgrades to the comfort station, and accessibility improvements, including new parking stalls, paved pedestrian paths, and site amenities.
During the closure, we highly recommend looking into other available locations within in the San Diego Coast District for your special event!
Peak Season
Memorial Day Weekend Through Labor Day Weekend.
These locations are unavailable for special events during peak season
Additionally, no events may be permitted on weekends during this time. Available locations will be limited to smaller events or may not be able to accommodate all event details during peak season.
Special Events Reservation Calendar
All dates and locations are first-come, first-serve basis. Only one event will be booked per location per day. Reminder reservations must be booked 45 days prior to the requested date.
Google Calendar is updated weekly therefore availability is tentative.
