Heber Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area is accepting public review and comment on the Draft (2024) Soil Conservation Plan until midnight Jan. 10, 2025. Members of the public can submit their comments to OHMVR.EnvComp@parks.ca.gov and must include their name, title, organization (if representing one), telephone number, and email address. All comments submitted are public comment records. We encourage submitters not to include any detailed personal information, confidential business Information, or any information that is otherwise protected from disclosure by statute.

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) Draft 2024 Wildlife Habitat Protection Plan (SHPP) Public Comment Period and Meeting
Oceano Dunes SVRA is welcoming public review and comment on the Draft 2024 WHPP beginning from Nov. 20 to Dec. 22, 2024. The Oceano Dunes SVRA 2024 WHPP is a statutorily required plan that details monitoring activities and management actions pertaining to the SVRA’s natural resources. A virtual meeting to present the plan will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, beginning at 5 p.m. During the meeting, Oceano Dunes SVRA staff will present an overview of the WHPP to provide helpful information about the document. The draft document will be available to the public on the same day. The presentation will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams and will conclude at or before 6:30 PM. Registration is open. Please note, this presentation is specifically for the WHPP, and will not cover any other environmental documents.
