Swim Test

Testing Dates:

All 2027 dates will be published by January 31st 2027. 

Location: Alga Norte Aquatics Center, 6565 Alicante Rd, Carlsbad, CA 92009

Who needs to take a swim test? 

  • First time Jr. Lifeguard Participants. 

Who does NOT need to take a swim test? 

  • Returning Jr. Lifeguards DO NOT need to attend a swim test. 
  • Thoes who are on a swim team, water polo team, or have participated in an alternative Jr. Lifeguard program.   

If you are on a Swim Team, Water Polo team, or have participated in another Junior Lifeguard program: 

  • Please email us with your 100 freestyle time and the team you participate on, along with the coaches contact information and we will waive your swim test. 
  • Please email us the Jr. Lifeguard Program you previoulsy attended and we will waive your swim test. 
  • All emails must be sent by the last testing date, failure to inform us will lead to being dropped from the program.
