Registration

FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS:

 

Jr. Lifeguard free timeThe portal for Huntington State Beach Junior Lifeguard registration will be in ReserveCalifornia.  To register a participant each HOUSEHOLD must create a profile and add dependents.

New Junior Guard and GROM participants MUST complete a tryout prior to registering for the junior lifeguard program. If a new participant registers prior to completion of the tryout their registration will be voided and subject to a $50 cancellation fee. 

There is no Pre-Registration for the TRYOUT itself.  Participoants will tryout in the order they arrive.

 
New Junior Guards and GROM Program Information.

New Junior Guard registration will open following thew second tryout on April 11th at 5PM.

New GROM (Ages 7-8) registrants will be selected via LOTTERY that will take place after the second tryout on 4/12/2027. 

Available seats in each sessions JUNIOR LIFEGUARD (Ages 9-15) will be filled on a first come first serve after completion of the tryout process.  

There is a priority registration period for returning participants.

 

Login, Create New Account and Setting Up Your Dependents on ReserveCalifornia.com

Review these instructions to help you with the process;

Step 1: Login or create your NEW account by selecting the “LOGIN” or "CREATE ACCOUNT" button on the top menu.

Step 2: Once you are logged in, navigate to “YOUR ACCOUNT” on the top menu. A drop down will display. Select “YOUR DEPENDENTS”.

Step 3: A page titled “Persons” should appear. There will be a button that says “Add Person”. Click on this button to launch the “Add New Person” page.

Step 4: On the “Add New Person” page. Populate the following fields with information about the dependent you are setting up:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Birthdate This is necessary for ReserveCalifornia.com to validate that your dependent meets the age requirements for enrollment
  • Relationship- Use drop down to select “Child”

Step 5: Once you are done entering the above information, select “Add Dependent” and you will then be brought to the previous page and your new dependent should be listed. You can continue to add dependents to your account or proceed to enrolling your dependent(s) in a Junior Lifeguard program.
