Overview
Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park is a quiet place to camp and picnic in a scenic stand of redwoods along the Van Duzen River. It is located off route 101 southeast of Eureka at 16949 Highway 36 in Carlotta. Phone (707) 777-3683 for more information.Camping
Two campsites designated accessible are paved and generally accessible but may require assistance at tent areas. Other sites may be usable. The toilet in the designated accessible restroom adjacent to site 13 permits front transfers. In the shower, assistance may be required reaching the shower controls from the folding shower bench. Some assistance may be required navigating the slope on the route of travel from accessible sites to the restroom.Picnic Area
The Grizzly Creek picnic area has 3 large picnic tables that are usable. Water and trash facilities may require assistance. Generally accessible restrooms are provided nearby in the campground. One designated accessible parking space is available adjacent to the picnic area.
