Overview

Located in the northernmost part of the San Joaquin Valley, Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area is a popular place for water-oriented recreation, especially fishing and windsurfing. The park is seven miles off Interstate 580 at the Grant Line Road exit. Phone (209) 532-0150 for more information.

Picnic Area

A day use picnic area has an accessible table located on a paved pad beneath a shade structure. A portable restroom is generally accessible. Accessible parking is available. Additional tables, accessible parking and generally accessible no flush restrooms are near the boat launch.


Fishing

Two fishing platforms, one at the Upper reservoir, and the other at the Lower part, are accessible. Accessible parking is available. The path to the boat launch is accessible, and the boat launch will be made accessible by the Division of Boating and Waterways in the future.
