Summer Solstice Sunset Hike

Starts at 6pm at Pantoll

Let’s celebrate the longest day of the year (Summer Solstice) by watching the sun set over the Pacific. First we’ll go down Steep Ravine to the soothing sound of water, go up on Dipsea and reach Cardiac Hill in time for the sunset at 8:35PM. Under twilight, we will take be a short fire road back to Pantoll.

Participants will receive a special memento to commemorate the Summer Solstice. They can also use this hike toward their Quad Four badge. This hike will be led by Docent Franklin Young.

Moderate but steady pace

Trails: Steep Ravine, Dipsea, Coastal Fire Road
Recommended: water, sturdy shoes, hiking poles, snack, headlamp

Dogs other than service animals are not permitted on these trails. Ticks and poison oak may be present along trails.
