Granite Bay Launch Ramp Status Updated October 20, 2026
The Granite Bay Stage 1 launch ramp has been closed as of October 19th due to low water (402 feet). The next available launch ramp in Granite Bay is the Low Water Ramp, which becomes usable at a lake elevation of about 395 feet. Based on the current water releases, it is projected that the Low Water Ramp will become accessible during the week of November 9th. Lake releases and precipitation may increase or decrease this projection.
Until the Low Water Ramp is available, vessels may launch from the shoreline in Granite Bay, however this is not recommended for larger and heavier vessels. Personal watercraft and small vessels may launch at their own risk. State Parks will not tow out stuck vehicles. The Hobie Cove Launch Ramp at Browns Ravine will remain open for larger vessels.
