Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is looking for a Tour Guide to join the park team to enhance the experience of our visitors.

The Tour Guide leads walks for fourth grade students and park visitors throughout Sierra Railroad's historic facilities in Jamestown. Participate in living history programs, assist with special events, and more. Amazing opportunity for those who enjoy history and working with people. Must be able to work weekends.

General Info:

• Scheduled work days are Friday through Monday and typically March through October
• Starting pay $18.26 per hour
• Average 16-32 hours per week

Applicants must:

• have a valid driver's license
• be able to work weekends and holidays
• be comfortable with public speaking
• have the ability to use computer software
• wear an approved uniform
• apply before May 5, 2026

Maintenance Aides maintain State property by performing a variety of manual labor work including cleaning restrooms, picking up garbage, raking, shoveling, weed trimming, loading/unloading, stacking, removing debris, brush, refuse, scrap lumber, and rubble.
